Global Studies Academy - Travis High School
Incoming 9th-graders living anywhere in Fort Bend ISD, including those zoned to Travis, may apply to the Global Studies Academy. Applications are evaluated on the basis of the applicant's grades and course work in 7th and 8th grade, standardized-test scores, discipline and attendance records, two teacher recommendations, an essay, and a personal interview. Bus transportation to Travis is provided for those accepted to the Academy.
GSA students choose a world language: Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Latin, or Spanish
International Business and Marketing Academy - Bush High School
The International Business and Marketing Academy at Bush High School is a dynamic four-year program that enhances the high school core curriculum by providing additional academic courses that emphasize marketing, business, and international studies. Through the program, students are also given the opportunity to earn college credit through the College Now program.
Graduates of the International Business and Marketing Academy will have a strong academic, business, marketing and/or finance foundation in addition to strong foreign language skills. The Academy prepares students for the highly competitive and constantly changing global economic environment.
Math & Science Academy - Dulles High School
The Math and Science Academy is a four-year program that encompasses the high school core curriculum with additional courses that emphasize accelerated learning in math and science disciplines. Students will have an opportunity to participate in enrichment activities and internship programs. Completion of the Dulles High School Math and Science Academy program will provide students with advanced knowledge in these disciplines, collegiate credit, special project participation and / or internship experience.
Engineering Academy - Elkins High School
In their search for better, quicker and less expensive ways to meet the challenges of today’s society, students apply the principles of science and mathematics to the properties of matter and the sources of energy in nature. They are offered a glimpse of how this is done in the corporate world by participating in the Engineering Internship Program. Qualified seniors in the academy work alongside practicing engineers 6-9 hours a week throughout the school year. As a result of their success as interns, some students have gone on to paid college internships and even full-time employment as engineers.
Medical Science Academy - Hightower High School
Is it for YOU? At Hightower Medical Science Academy motivated students meet academic challenges and have opportunities to explore world class medical facilities. We offer four years of intense instruction, internships, and competitions. With the knowledge and practical skills obtained, Academy students graduate with a decided advantage over others competing to enter collegiate medical programs.
Digital Media Academy - Hightower High School
The FBISD Digital Media Academy provides professional training through the use of industry standard technologies to enable students to pursue a career in multimedia. The Digital Media Academy exists to provide students exposure and skills applicable to digital media career pathways and to prepare students for entry-level positions or college career readiness upon completion of the program.

Gifted & Talented Academy
The Gifted and Talented Academy is located at Quail Valley Middle School.
The Fort Bend Academy for the Gifted and Talented will engage students in evidence-based curriculum and rich instructional strategies to differentiate for the academically gifted.The focus of the Academy is to provide challenging learning opportunities and special curricula that modify learning environments to enhance self-awareness, self-efficacy,problem-solving, and the learning of critical/creative thinking skills.The instructional program will emphasize the development, practice, and transfer of advanced knowledge and skills to assist students in preparing for creative and productive careers.

It is recommended that a parent plan ahead to consider the courses available at the child's campus prior to taking a credit by exam.

- Use technology to facilitate the learning process and serve as an important tool for organization, research and communication.
- Active participation in organized service to foster civic responsibility.
- Off-campus experiences that will take students to unique destinations such as research labs, museums, historical sites,cultural sites, industrial design firms,universities and medical centers.
- Extra-curricular activities may include:Math Counts, Science Olympiad, Robotics,Destination Imagination, Pentathlon,History Fair, Science Fair, Mars Rover,Future Problem Solvers, Geography Bee,band, orchestra, theatre and sports offered at the middle school level.
- Identified as gifted and talented
- Reside in Fort Bend ISD
- Students not currently enrolled in Fort Bend ISD must meet the criteria for gifted identification in Fort Bend ISD. Contact the GT Department for information about spring testing.
- Students not currently enrolled in Fort Bend ISD must submit their application by the designated deadline even if going through the spring GT testing.
